Pods4Rail is a project funded by Europe’s Rail that explores a future supermodal transport system combining the flexibility of road transport with the efficiency and sustainability of rail. The concept is based on modular, automated pods for passengers and freight, which can operate seamlessly on both road and rail using standardized container formats—enabling true door-to-door mobility without transfers and without the need for new infrastructure.
Your contribution is needed
As part of the Pods4Rail project, a short stakeholder questionnaire has been prepared to gather insights from relevant actors such as transport authorities, operators, industry representatives, and researchers.
The objective of this questionnaire is to better understand expectations, challenges, and requirements related to the deployment of pod-based mobility solutions in a rail context.
The questionnaire takes approximately 15–20 minutes to complete. All responses will be treated confidentially and used exclusively for scientific and project-related purposes.
Your perspective would be extremely valuable to ensure that the project outcomes are relevant and aligned with real-world needs. The project team would greatly appreciate it if you could complete the questionnaire by 23 February 2026.
