The “E – CORRIDOR Edge enabled Privacy and Security Platform for Multi Modal Transport” project aims to define a technological framework and to develop a platform for multimodal transport systems that provides advanced security services for passengers and operators of the transport.
The project partners are CNR (Italy), Higher Institute of Communications and Information Technologies-Ministry of Economic Development (Italy), Hewlett-Packard Italiana (Italy), DITECFER (Italy), Commissariat à l’Energie Atomique et aux Energies Alternatives (France), CLEM (France), Aéroport de Paris (France), SNCF Réseaux (France), Université Paris XII Val de Marne (France), Pildo Consulting (Spain), Factual Consulting (Spain), Associació de municipis for mobility and transport urban-AMTU (Spain), United Technologies Research Center Ireland (Ireland), Waterford Institute of Technology (Ireland), Fraunhofer Gesellschaft Zur Foerderung der Angewandten Forschung (Germany).
The platform will offer in service mode the sharing of critical information while respecting privacy, their analysis and related protection. The project aims to demonstrate the applicability of this innovative platform in at least two domains:
- collaborative and confidential management of the cyber threat;
- seamless access mechanism in multimodal transport systems.
Cyberattacks, in fact, increasingly influence our everyday life: the targets of attacks are more and more our phones, our current accounts or our new electric and self-driving car. The need to protect ourselves from the cyber world – which often has a significant convergence with the physical world – requires that the security and digital aspects are managed together to allow better prediction and management of cyber attacks, while respecting data privacy.
