The recording and maintenance of inventory data are fundamental prerequisites for construction and maintenance measures on railway infrastructure. Until now, railway infrastructure has been recorded by means of on-site track inspections or manual data analysis of recorded track data, which requires expertise, is time-consuming, expensive and error-prone. The use of deep neural networks for the detection of infrastructure components directly from point clouds can accelerate this process, e.g. by automatically registering elements such as catenary poles, axle counters, and ETCS balises. In this context, as a service provider for the rail systems, SIGNON GmbH is working on such AI-based solutions for the automated registration of railway infrastructure. The new approaches and solutions will be presented in the talk.

Infrastructure networks worldwide face mounting pressure from ageing assets, extreme weather, and workforce constraints, making traditional inspection models increasingly unsustainable. ApoSys Technologies Inc. presents the Apollo Framework (RIMF), an AI-powered platform that integrates LiDAR, satellite, and computer vision analytics to deliver continuous, data-driven infrastructure monitoring. By enabling proactive maintenance and reducing on-site inspection needs, Apollo helps operators enhance safety, resilience, and lifecycle efficiency across rail, tunnel, and culvert systems. This session will feature collaborations with Hudson Bay Railway, Transport Canada and preview expansion efforts in Spain and the Netherlands.
